Meet Luke Clippinger:
Native Baltimorean
Resident of South Baltimore, across from Riverside Park
Assistant State's Attorney
Baltimore City Public Schools K-12, Graduated from Poly in 1990
Luke Clippinger is a native Baltimorean, raised in Reservoir Hill in a home bought by the Clippingers in 1974 for one dollar on the promise that the family would renovate, care for, and maintain the property as their own.
A product of Baltimore City Public Schools, Luke is a graduate of Roland Park Elementary-Middle School, and Poly, where he graduated the "A" course in 1990. After receiving a BA from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and a law degree from the University of Louisville, Luke returned home to Baltimore City, where he has since resided, now in the Riverside section of South Baltimore.
Luke's experience in law and government extends back through the 90s, when he fought for issues that impact working families. His experience includes work with progressive members of Congress including Baron Hill and Lee Hamilton (formerly of the 9/11 Commission). He also worked with Tom Perez as a candidate for Attorney General, and later Maryland's Secretary of Labor; and Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Baltimore's Mayor.
Since 2007, Luke has served the people of Maryland as an Assistant State's Attorney, where he fights to improve public safety by prosecuting cases of domestic violence, drunk driving, and drug possession.
Luke is a long-time resident of South Baltimore. He is an Elder at Brown Memorial Presbyterian Church, Park Avenue. He has been a member since 1986.
