Closed loopholes for buying
shotguns and rifles and passed legislation requiring every police department to use body cameras.

Earned Sick Leave

Helped many Marylanders earn paid sick leave to protect them from choosing between health and their job.

Housing Justice

Passed protections for renters to keep families in their homes. Provided access to legal counsel for individuals in eviction actions.

Clean Energy

Expanded opportunities for Marylanders to generate solar energy. Raised the cap on the amount of energy that can be generated by renewable energy facilities.

Educational Equity

Secured funds to help kids with learning loss and gain better broadband access. Passed historic education funding for Maryland’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

LGBTQ+ Rights

Passed the historic Marriage Equality Act. Banned the LGTBQ+ "panic" defense and protected trans Marylanders from being required to publish a name change.
